We were fighting jet lag. As we traveled more this battle would prove to be a constant struggle. There is all kinds of advice on how to deal with the change in time zones. The truth is, none of the techniques really work. At least not for us. So we have found that it takes us about a week to adjust.
Today, we went to the neighborhood where the world famous department store 'Harrod's' is located. The cost of the products in that store is mind boggling. We were told that there is a middle eastern Sheik that orders all of his food shipped daily to his home from the store. hard to even conceive the cost (and the waste) that would involve.
We try to take a single "Picture of the Day" that would highlight our experience for the day's excursion. Hard to choose today because of Harrod's manyoverpriced shiny baubles.
However, this seemingly ordinary building sitting just behind Harrod's won the contest. It is the Ecuadorian Embassy. If you look through the windows you can just see Julian Assange of Wikileaks. He has been in this building avoiding extradition to the U.S. for years. When we saw him he was playing World of Warcraft by the window on a old PC.
