Rostock, Germany .... for just a few hours

Writer's picture: Glenn DobbsGlenn Dobbs

June 26, 2018 - This is an astronomical clock behind the main alter in St Mary’s Cathedral in Rostock Germany. It tells the hour, the phases of the moon, the day , the zodiac, and has correctly predicted Easter until 2017.

Here is the thing - It was built in 1472. And it still has all of it’s original time pieces. When someone uses the phrase “German engineering” there is enormous truth to it.

We are traveling back to the ship. We sail tonight for Tallin Estonia. Tomorrow we will be at sea.

Until then...
