June 18, 2018 - After providing assistance with some medical drama at 30,000 feet - a flight attendant got ill (She is ok) —. We made it to Norway where we first discovered it was indeed dark. We landed in Bergen where it was overcast, cold, windy, and raining. Undeterred we pressed on. Eventually, it let up a bit.
We made our way to the Bryggen neighborhood where our Air BNB is located. This is a former German enclave on the harbor in Bergen that was a thriving industrial area filled with beautiful old wooden warehouses and storehouses that are hundreds of years old.
Today it is filled with restaurants, shops, and hotels. In the rain, the colors of the wood buildings were luminous. Norway was the big three things that create great beauty anywhere- Trees, stone formations, and the sea.
We are off to grocery shop.
