Antico Forno Roscioli Restaurant

November 14, 2019 - One of the key strategies to long term travel is to avoid eating out as much as possible. It is a real budget buster. We try wherever we go to shop at local markets and cook at the apartment if at all possible.

Today we abandoned that goal and dove into the deep end of the gastronomical paradise that is Rome. This is Antico Forno Roscioli. It is part bakery, part cheese monger, part butcher shop, and all food heaven. The meal was everything one would fantasize a fine Italian meal would be. We wanted to enjoy a really genuine Italian dining experience before we begin the journey home.

Cacio e Pepe is quite possibly the best dish in the world.

About Us

I was waiting for a baby to be born.  It was the fall of 2015 and I had been a practicing OB/GYN for over 20 years.  I could sense it was a time for change in my life.  With new insight to what was possible, we started fantasizing about what this new life could look like.  We starting to call it our “Road to Bali.”  We didn’t know exactly where it would lead, but are so glad we took the first steps into this new adventure.  We hope you enjoy coming along on our “Road to Bali.”
