The Quartiere Coppede neighborhood

November 11, 2018 - Following the advice of Atlas Obscura we went to find ‘Quartiere Coppede’ today. It is a neighborhood in Rome built around 1910.

To call it whimsical is an understatement. It is as if they asked Wes Anderson to be the architect. It is a delightful mish mash of art nouveau, medieval, Barroque, and mannerist technique. Whatever style you call it there was definitely some drugs involved.

Along the way we went to Colleen’s happy place- outdoor markets with vintage items.
