Sri Veeramakaliamman Hindu Temple

March 1, 2018 - After 22 hours total in the air and celebrating my birthday over the Bay of Bengal, we arrived in Singapore.

It is 80 degrees and 90% humidity. This is the Sri Veeramakaliamman temple. It is in 'Little India' where we are staying.

It is dedicated to the Goddess Kali a fierce incarnation of Shiva and the destroyer of evil. Hindu devotees believe she destroys ignorance and keeps order. We walked into a service in progress which involved partially robed priests in face paint, incense , chanting, and a brass band. I had no idea what was going on. It was mesmerizing.

We are so jet lagged. Time for a nap

About Us

I was waiting for a baby to be born.  It was the fall of 2015 and I had been a practicing OB/GYN for over 20 years.  I could sense it was a time for change in my life.  With new insight to what was possible, we started fantasizing about what this new life could look like.  We starting to call it our “Road to Bali.”  We didn’t know exactly where it would lead, but are so glad we took the first steps into this new adventure.  We hope you enjoy coming along on our “Road to Bali.”
