A full day

The Hanoi Opera House

April 2, 2018 - Kind of a full day.

Started off getting scammed for $20 dollars- so that was fun.

Visited a pagoda where Zen Buddhism started in Vietnam.

Walked by Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum which was closed today for cleaning (which brought up all kinds of images)

Had a wonderful lunch at a NGO restaurant that does great work.

And finished off at the Hanoi Opera below. It was built in 1911 by the French and modeled after one in Paris. The government did not allow Western artists until 1990’s. Tonight we saw a lovely dance program.
