Singapore sent Cheyenne Goh to the Winter Olympics this year. Cheyenne was the only athlete to represent this tiny country so near the equator. She was a speed skater. It is hard to imagine where she would pick up such a sport, let alone train here. Everywhere is tropical jungle. — Her family moved to Canada when she was 4 years old and it was there she learned to be a tropical ice skater. She didn’t medal but they are still very proud here.
This is the Cloud Forest biodome that is part of the Gardens by the Bay Exhibit.
The picture is deceptive, it is over 7 stories tall! It is a billion dollar showcase of ingenuity and beauty of this remarkable city. At night it supposed to be completely lit up but with the current thunderstorm outside we may not make it until dark.
