I was waiting for a baby to be born. It was the fall of 2015 and I had been a practicing OB/GYN for over 20 years. I've enjoyed the privilege of helping welcome new life into this world. But I could sense it was a time for change in my life. So, while waiting in the call room, I searched “Retirement." The book that caught my eye was titled “How to Retire Early.” On a whim, I ordered it and promptly forgot about it. However, my wife Colleen, didn’t. She read it. Our two sons had recently left the nest and she had sold her business, so she too was sensing a change coming. With new insight to what was possible, we started fantasizing about what this new life could look like. We starting to call it our “Road to Bali.” We didn’t know exactly where it would lead, but are so glad we took the first steps into this new adventure.
